BY VIRTUE OF THE POWERS vested in me and in pursuance
of instructions received from His Majesty the King through
the Secretary of State for the Colonies, I, LIEUTENANT-
GENERAL EDWARD FELIX NORTON, Companion of the Most Honourable
Order of the Bath, Companion of the Distinguished Service
Order, Military Cross, Officer Administering the Government
and Commander-in-Chief of the Colony of Hong Kong and its
Dependencies and Vice-Admiral of the same do by these presents
appoint you LEO D'ALMADA E CASTRO, JUNIOR, to be an unofficial
member of the Legislative Council of the Colony of Hong Kong
subject in all respects whatsoever to the provisions of His
Majesty's Letters Patent bearing date the fourteenth day of
February 1917 constituting the Office of Governor and
Commander-in-Chief of the Colony of Hong Kong and its
Dependencies and of any other Letters Patent of His Majesty
adding to amending or substituted for the same and of any
Instructions from His Majesty under His Sign Manual and
Signet for the time being in force.
GIVEN under my hand and the Public Seal of the Colony
at Government House, Victoria, Hong Kong, this 17th day of
January, 1941.
